Nature tells the story.
We’re a small rural beekeeping business.
Based in Northiam, East Sussex, we care for small apiaries in a beautiful part of the countryside.
Our aim is to never over-intrude upon the bees. By leaving the hives in peace, we encourage the natural behaviour of the honeybees.
It’s not about us. It is entirely about the honeybees and the amazing products they create.

We started out via a more traditional beekeeper route. However, as the years passed we learned more about the honeybee. We could see, that most of the time the honeybee needed saving from man, rather than the other way around.
There is something humbling about opening a hive and looking into their world. We are entering their home. A warm, carefully regulated ‘temperature space’ in which thousands of bees live and work together.
We’ve always been fond of the Green Man. To us, the old folklore imagery of the Green Man is a simple reminder to live in harmony with nature. Nature has a story to tell. For us, that means observing the hive entrance, which means we don’t need to intrude.
When we started making pure beeswax candles, shaping one into the [Green Man] felt like honouring a tradition between bees and nature.
Of course, there’s a story about how we got into beekeeping in the first place.
It started, with the hunt for decent beeswax candles and a desire to learn more about honeybees. One thing led to another and here we are.
The season moves on and there’s a small harvest of honey to bring in, so we wish you an a happy and abundant Autumn and Winter.
Our Prices
Our aim is to make our prices fair and affordable. Therefore, we offer a large selection of candles in all sizes. Our aim, is there should be a gift or treat for everyone.
Sustainable Goods
Our goal is to make the most of everything the beehive offers without wasting anything. That’s why we began creating 100% pure beeswax candles, along with traditional polishes and wood treatments. We always aim to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
