Welcome to our website. By placing an order with Joy from the Hive, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. The Contract

  • When you place an order, you offer to purchase our products.

  • A legally binding contract is formed between us only when we dispatch your goods and send a shipment confirmation email.

3. Price and Payment

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£). We are not VAT registered, so prices do not include VAT.

  • Payment is processed securely and charged in full immediately upon placing your order.

4. Delivery and Ownership

  • We aim to dispatch orders within 1–2 business days (or 3–5 business days during busy periods).

  • Once you parcel has been diverted to your address, a nominated neighbour, or a designated safe place. We are no longer responsible.

  • If a delivery fails, due to an incorrect address provided at checkout, any re-shipping fees will be the customer's responsibility.

5. Right to Cancel and Returns (14-Day Cooling-Off)

  • Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your online order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods.

  • To request a return, you must email us at info@joyfromthehive.co.uk within this 14-day window.

  • You then have an additional 14 days to return the items to us.

  • Items must be returned unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging at your own cost. We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the items back.

6. Damaged or Faulty Goods

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if any product arrives damaged or faulty, please email us photographic evidence within 30 days of delivery.

  • We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund, including any return postage costs.

7. Candle Safety and Liability

  • By purchasing our natural beeswax candles. You agree to follow all standard safety guidelines. (including trimming wicks to 3mm and never leaving a burning candle unattended).

  • Joy from the Hive accepts no liability for property damage or injury caused by product misuse or unsafe burning practices.

8. Privacy and Data

  • We only use your personal data (name, address, and email) to process and ship your order in line with UK data protection laws. We will never sell or share your information with third parties. Your privacy mattes to us.

9. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by English law.
